Towards a Model Country – Launch of the 2024 European Atlas of Fertility Treatment Policies invitation

On behalf of the European Parliamentary Forum for Sexual and Reproductive Rights and Fertility Europe, we are delighted to invite you to the

Launch of the 2024 European Atlas of Fertility Treatment Policies

– Towards a Model Country,

hosted by MEP Merja Kyllönen (The Left, Finland) & MEP Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus (S&D, Poland)

Infertility affects around 25 million people in Europe and is a disease recognised by the World Health Organisation (WHO). Globally, according to WHO, one in six people faces this condition and many more experience involuntary childlessness for other than medical reasons.

The second edition of the European Atlas of Fertility Treatment Policies 2024 provides an overview of fertility policies in 49 European countries. It scores countries based on legislation, public funding, access to treatments for all who need them as well as psychological support and educational programmes on fertility.

Join us on 3 December 2024 from 14:00-15:30 at the European Parliament, room 1G2 (Manolis Glezos) and learn how your country ranks compared to other European countries.

The event will feature prominent speakers from the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), MEPs working on advancing the issue as well as the patient perspective on a journey to accessing fertility treatments.

Refreshments will be served.

Please note that registration is required (open until Thursday, 28 November 2024) to attend the event.
