And that’s a wrap!

We hope this campaign has shown why fertility-aware workplaces matter – for people going through fertility challenges and for workplaces as a whole.

Across almost 2,700 responses from more than 33 countries and territories, one thing is clear: fertility treatment is time-consuming and emotionally demanding, while workplace systems are rarely designed with it in mind.

People are often reluctant to disclose. Time off is pieced together from leave categories that don’t quite fit. Appropriate facilities are uncommon. And although most people would choose an employer with fertility-friendly policies, very few have access to them.

The impact can follow people into their careers: 7 in 10 say fertility treatment shaped their long-term career path, and 1 in 6 seriously considered leaving their job.

Supporting people isn’t just the right thing to do. It also makes sense for organisations. Replacing an employee can cost around 50–200% of their annual salary, depending on the role.

Let it sink in: replacing an employee can cost around 50–200% of their annual salary.

Retention is more beneficial than replacement. And for everyone.

Invest in support. Make the invisible manageable. Build fertility-aware workplaces.
