Working groups

We have formed Working Groups around important topics to the association. Currently, we have four main groups and are seeking more people to help out. The meetings are held via Zoom. Furthermore, there is email and app traffic daily. During the Fertility Europe meetings, we meet up and work together on our projects.

WG COMM (Communication)

The Working Group COMM is responsible for drafting and developing the content for internal and external communication, including virtual space. The Working Group also manages the social networking and hosts the website. An important attention point is making sure the information is up to date, accurate, and reflects the view of our members.

WG STRATEGY

The Working Group STRATEGY is the newest addition to our working group range. It commenced at the beginning of the year and is responsible for clarifying our operating environment, defining strategic objectives and key actions, mapping target groups and reviewing our mission and vision. As a result, the Working Group will draft our new strategy plan for ExCo approval. Once this stage is concluded, the Strategy WG will focus on measures to implement and evaluate the plan.

WG POLI (Policy)

Voicing concerns of infertile, subfertile and childless people in Europe in their own words and feelings is the main task of the Working Group POLI. It is challenging and exciting work to mobilize and support members in their advocacy activities as well as to share ideas with other European partners.

Our WG focuses mainly on 3 areas:

  • Developing FE statements on policy and ethics
  • Supporting members’ national lobbying activities
  • Monitoring EU legislation & implementation

We have adopted a classical methodology:
– building a team of experts including psychologists and patients associations’ leaders
– monitoring information and studies
– producing and fine-tuning a policy statement, plan and strategy
– building alliances on specific issues
– addressing policymakers and media

WG MORE (Members, Outreach, Representativeness, Europe)

MORE Working Group’s main goal is to contact as many fertility-related associations from Europe as possible and make it easy for them to join Fertility Europe. A few European countries are not represented yet. In some countries, new ones are established.

Usually, the contact is taken by email, but we also contact the new possible candidates. MORE then takes care of the new applicants, when they apply for membership and helps them with documents, needed for the Executive Committee for the process of evaluation and compliance with Fertility Europe’s statutes.

MORE also takes part in arranging the regular meetings and assisting the Executive Committee with arrangements. MORE collects information from members, makes different kinds of reports and updates the membership database.

WG FUND (Fundraising)

FUND Working Group’s main goal is to find contributions of money or other resources for the organisation.
